Less than a year ago, Gubser celebrated one of the highlights of her long film and theater career: in 2018 she was nominated for a Swiss film award for her portrayal in Rolf Lyssy's feature film “The Last Pointe”. However, the award went to her colleague Luna Wedler, who is generations younger. In “The Last Pointe”, Gubser played an old lady who wanted to use euthanasia because she was afraid of dementia.

The actress became known throughout Switzerland for her role in the SRF soap “Lüthi und Blanc” (2002). Four years later, Bettina Oberli's “Die Herbstzeitlosen” (2006) played a leading role in one of the most successful Swiss films ever.

Gubser did not make the leap into the film industry until he was over 70 years old. Before that, the trained theater actress was mainly on the theater stage: She played at the Schauspielhaus in Zurich, at the Biel-Solothurn Theater and at the Basel Theater.
