Practice early! Whether it's chocolate paintings on the wall, traces of paint on the room table or mum's lipstick spread across the face, many children have already discovered their creativity according to this motto. From a certain age these early childhood "paintings" can be expanded and promoted. For example, if you give a child a piece of paper and a few paints, they will be amazed to see how creative they can be. At first it might be wild strokes of color without much importance. But the child just enjoys swinging the pen or brush freely over the paper. That motivates and that is what matters!

This is how children can learn creativity

Very different objects and materials, such as sand, wood, paper, fabrics, etc., are suitable for the learning process. By combining different colors, sounds, shapes and smells, creativity and imagination can be expanded. In order to encourage creative ideas in the child, the brain must first be stimulated. It has to learn not to always do everything as others do. A child doesn't have to be highly intelligent to create something creative and unusual! Children should and must try everything, test their limits, achieve success, get over defeats and start all over again.

Wooden blocks, for example, are ideal for promoting logical thinking and memory. When setting up, the child always discovers new variants. In general, it learns for itself from all situations. It also learns that not everything is always what it seems and that it can make a significant contribution to changing something. Creative children are also creative people later on. They are confident, lively, able to listen, and inventive in life. With the ability to concentrate on one thing acquired in the game, they often learn better and can more easily fit into a team later in their professional lives.

Parents can encourage creativity

Primarily, of course, the parents are responsible for the promotion. If you show your child an unconventional way of life, this is usually an important first step. In addition, the terms trust and trust play a major role. So if a child wants to try something, they should be given the opportunity to do so. If an attempt fails, it is up to the parents to comfort their child and explain how to do it correctly. It should be included in normal life processes, because this is the only way it can learn and build self-confidence. If it is also fun, the child will always remember it positively.

An example: A family is in the run-up to Christmas and wants to bake cookies. The five-year-old daughter has just put on her mother's apron and wants to help. Papa and the three-year-old son also join them. Everyone will guess what follows. Flour is spread generously on the work surface and the dough is rolled out on top. Small, large, thick and thin cookies are cheerfully cut out with all kinds of molds. The dad just flatters and the little one puts the dough into his mouth. The flour flies in all directions and at some point everyone looks like little snowmen. But it is precisely those situations that weld together, offer children valuable learning opportunities and encourage creativity.
